Healthy Meal suggestions for China Express

China Express is a small two-table carry-out place located in a strip mall. Its so unimposing, we almost drove by it without notice. We walked in and ordered to go. For two meals, we waited no more than 10 minutes. The menu had most of the traditional items you can expect from a Chinese carry-out as well as a few Thai items thrown in. I ordered the Szechuan Beef combo (comes in mild, medium or spicy) with fried rice. I had no complaints. The first thing I noticed was how much food we got. The combo portions were huge. In your typical large, three-compartment take-out box, two were overflowing with rice and the large one was filled with delicious beef and veggies soaking in a spicy sauce. And you will get a lot of sauce. Consider this a warning to handle your boxes with care or you may end up a saucy mess. With the combo, you also get an eggroll shoved in there for good measure. All that food for a touch over $8 and it's easily split into two meals. I was incredibly satisfied with it for exactly what it was: a fast, easy meal as you would expect to get from a Chinese take-out place.

Went here for the 1st time, and only went because it was on my way home and I was craving Chinese food.... Honestly, I wont be back. I was told my order would take 10 mins, it didn't get it for 25 minutes (I was the only person in there!!!) I ordered the Pad Thai and General Tso's Chicken Combo, along with fried dumplings. My husband said the Pad Thai was pretty good and so were the dumplings, but I felt far different about their General Tso's! It's almost like they breaded it with cornbread. The breading is SO thick and you get this little piece of dry chicken in the middle of it. And the sauce is VERY thick. My egg roll tasted like dirt (literally), I took 2 bites and threw it out. Sadly disappointed.. but can also see why I was the only customer in there. Also, I heard the lady taking take out orders over the phone.. she is not very pleasant. Overall, I won't be back.

I ordered a carry out last night and it was great. Pad thai is very good and so is the general tsao chicken. Egg rolls are just average. Good service and nice people.

This is by far my favorite carry out Chinese restaurants everyone complains that it's bad but it truthfully not because I have been to many Chinese restaurants and have gotten sick from happy Chinese and a couple others but this place has yet to get me sick so I would recommend this place to anyone that likes take out but they do forget to give you silverware if you don't as for it.

I would not recommend this to anyone. on a recent order for vegetarians (which they did not even have tofu options) after asking them their vegetarian options they gave me fried rice with chicken in it for our side. i didn't notice this until i got home which meant i was to eat my vegetables in a heavy sweet and sour sauce with no rice because it had chicken in it. the egg roll was unpleasant on the inside with no color, just blackness. Happy you restaurant is just down the street and has much better options and service.

Sometimes their food isn't all that great.. But sometimes it's Decent. They also forget to give you forks.. But, they do have one of the best fortune cookies. Which you can buy 12 for $1.50 which i don't think it's bad at all

Lady was quite rude. I heard them in the back hacking up a loogie. Really wondered if it was going in someones food. The place is dirty. Food tasted ok. Maybe it was the special sauce. Heh.

You've got to try their take-out! Wonderful, fresh wonton soup, great fried rice, moo-shui, veggies, even some yummy Thai dishes. Mom and pop run the joint and will even deliver within 3 miles. Food is good, cheap and ready fast... Check them out!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
